Obituary for Norma Cumbo McGranahan

Mrs. Norma Cumbo McGranahan, age 76, of Rush, Kentucky, passed away Sunday evening, July 21, 2019, at her residence.

She was born April 28, 1943, in Concord, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Earl and Velva Ratliff Cumbo.

Norma was a member of the Faith Freewill Baptist Church and worked as an office clerk for Advantage Tank Lines. She enjoyed working, being a faithful member of her church, playing games on her iPad and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Georgianna Cumbo.

Norma is survived by her husband of 17 years, Billy McGranahan; one son, Nelson Lee II (Tracy) of Landis, North Carolina; one daughter, Stephanie Libby of Barboursville, West Virginia; three grandchildren, Taylor Lee of Landis, North Carolina, Kali Cherry (Max) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Kasey Libby of Barboursville, West Virginia; one sister, Judy Chaffin (Don) of Flatwoods, Kentucky; seven step children, Devona, Donita, Donna Gail, Billie Ray, Denisa Kay, Marty, and Delinda; and one special niece, Michal Ann Sigler of Flatwoods, Kentucky. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2019, at the Faith Freewill Baptist Church on Stinson Road in Grayson, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Community Hospice Care Center, 1480 Carter Avenue, Ashland, Kentucky 41101.
